Dear Learn Laugh Speak Community,
We would like to share with you some of the reasons people stop learning English so quickly and how to keep motivated.
One common reason people give up on learning English is because they feel it’s too difficult. They become frustrated when they can’t understand or pronounce words correctly. However, research has shown that even if you make a lot of mistakes when you’re learning, you will still progress quickly. So don’t be discouraged if you don’t get everything right the first time – just keep practicing and you’ll get there in no time!
Another reason people might give up is because they don’t have anyone to practice with. If you don’t have anyone to talk to in English, it can be hard to stay motivated. But there are plenty of ways to find practice partners online (for example, on language exchange websites or Facebook groups). So even if you don’t have any friends or family who speak English, you can still find someone to chat with. Or use our digital learning program to speak with instant corrections!
Secondly, some people give up because they simply forget to study. It’s easy to get busy with work or other commitments and then suddenly realize you haven’t touched your English books in weeks! To avoid this,
Lastly the most common reason why people stop learning English is because they get bored or frustrated with their studies.
This is often due to using traditional methods such as textbooks or attending classes which can be repetitive and not very interesting. A better way to learn is to find materials that are enjoyable to read or listen to, such as books, magazines, websites, podcasts or songs.
You should also vary your activities so that you’re not doing the same thing all the time. For example, you could read an article one day, listen to a podcast the next day and then do some grammar with our grammar checking homework sending tool. Our students only learn the grammar they make mistakes with.
