Love Hate you will know why AI in English is here to stay

It’s been over a week since we launched the learn English app available on learnlaughspeak.com and we could not be more excited by the response so far. In case you were not aware of our new English language learning app, Learn Laugh Speak is an interactive pronunciation training accent adjusting machine that learns your English preferences and improves how it teaches you more effectively as it goes along. But not just us others are following suit as well.

One of the biggest problems with undergraduate and graduate student skills today is the quality of student writing. After all, teaching students to write is one of the main goals of the school; Now more than ever, writing is essential to the future success of students – academic, professional and personal.

Below I explore student future success – academic (focusing on all intermediates related to English class because that is was my experience and goal setting for these programs). This article looks at AI-based technologies in education, with a focus on programs that promise to automate student feedback. This blog explores the most practical ways for English teachers to use AI in classrooms.

1. The Quality

One of them, “Using AI to Improve the Quality of Education and Learning” (UNESCO, 2019), is directly related to how teachers use AI in the classroom, and this blog will be devoted to this. Teacher guidance and creativity, combined with the tools of artificial intelligence technology, are powerful tools to encourage student development in the language learning process.

Some of these language learning apps, such as Duolingo and Linguist, use artificial intelligence and machine learning to make learning foreign languages ??easier, faster, and more efficient. Duolingo is another free language learning app that uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and gamification to make language learning fun and engaging.

A common way applications focus on this in on focus areas is calculate the likelihood of you doing something right or wrong. The algorithms, are based on the latest advances in machine learning that enable machines to process the language with accurate understanding. The algorithm is based on recent advances in machine learning, which have helped computers process language in a way that it sometimes seems to actually understand.

For example, there are AI language models with algorithms that are fluent in most main stream languages. After all, all of these AI technologies, including natural learning for processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML), rely on the characteristics of human language, which break down into measures of readability, phonology, writing density, and others.

2. US VS the Machines

Getting machines to understand language is a huge challenge for AI. Deciphering the meaning of words can also be very difficult due to frequent ambiguity, and it is impossible to write all the rules of a language into a computer program (though some have tried).

While AI can automatically assess written and spoken text and provide learners with immediate feedback, it remains questionable whether it will be useful to correct mistakes in pronunciation, grammar or sentence structure when learning English.

Students, and perhaps teachers as well, have become too dependent on tools that can correct basic mistakes but don’t necessarily teach good writing. The growing number of technical means of writing responds to an important need. Instead of complaining about such technologies, we use these technologies to improve students’ writing skills and we can all agree that there is room for improvement.

3. Use in a higher Education

Universities need to plan for this, and educators need to think about how technology can help improve students’ writing skills. Technology can override teacher feedback on student writing prior to submission. For example, a new technology that needs attention is the Writing Feedback Tool (WFT), which uses artificial intelligence to correct, critique, improve, and evaluate students’ writing.

Findings suggest that AI-based writing tools can be an effective tool to encourage learning behaviors and technology acceptance of abilities through formative feedback and assessment for graduate students who are not native speakers of academic English writing. AI could be the best tool for learning English if the AI ??algorithm is based on new learning methodologies such as unconscious learning of English proficiency.

The application of AI to traditional English teaching methods, which are about 5% effective, will not lead to a significant increase in success without changing the teaching methodology by introducing a new, more successful method.

Fortunately, there are a number of apps that can help non-English speakers to speak English more fluently. While apps are a great way to help you learn, you probably won’t become fluent if you rely solely on them. Fortunately, there are free technologies available that can help both teachers and students develop intelligible pronunciation.

4. Intelligible Pronunciations

Developing intelligible pronunciation is an ongoing challenge for English and EFL learners and teachers at all language levels. Writing technologies will become more common in university classrooms, either due to course design or simply students’ choice to use them. Technology content and services may include AI-powered writing tools with features that meet universities’ expectations for academic integrity.

Like other AI implementations, natural language generation allows organizations to process large datasets and create them more efficiently than humans. Natural language processing is a branch of artificial intelligence that involves teaching machines to understand and process human language (such as English) and perform useful tasks such as machine translation, sentiment analysis, essay evaluation, and in our case, augmentation. letter. Natural language processing can also make data more informative and easier to understand for people who are not data-savvy.

5. The Longer Story but shorter

If you prefer to use early AI techniques, master them so you can combine your strengths as a human writer with the power of data-driven AI. Whether you’re using AI-generated content to express the same content in new ways, come up with new ideas, or create a message, you’re still creating and delivering.

AI-generated content can go a long way in finding the right language to reach your audience, but you still need a human touch to have the right message for your brand voice, audience, persona, or yourself. Alison Parrish, a professor at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, has developed methods for understanding language and computation using algorithms and artificial intelligence.

6. The Future is here (not tense)

The future of AI in learning is rapidly advancing. While most people will agree that there’s a lot of potential, the approach and implementation is still very much in its infancy. More companies will incorporate AI technologies into their products and services as time goes on, and we’re sure to see innovative new ideas come out of those collaborations. You should expect big things from this industry in the coming years, so stay tuned for more innovations in education technology.

What does this mean for language learning and technology? The AI revolution is here, and it’s really taking off. With all of the benefits that are being packed into this new learning tool, and with the promise of more to come soon, you can benefit from AI in the best way possible: by getting the most out of your learning experience.
